We are currently using the AWR1642 with the web visualizer, at the best range configuration. Whenever we send the MAX radial velocity parameter to be above 8m/s, the sensor will go to a non-usable state and the visualizer will freeze up. We will have to unplug the sensor and plug it back in to get it back to a usable state. We've also seen it freeze up when the setting was set to about 4m/s. Why is this happening, and how can we stop this from happening? Thanks for the help.

    Hi,

    Have you seen this behavior with any value higher than 4m/s?

    Does this happen all the time or only sometime.

    One thing to remember is that the mmwave sdk demo does not support all possible configurations. The mmwave demo is a general purpose demo and only supports a subset of possible configurations (due to memory and processing speed limitations).

    So it is possible that the configuration you are trying to use is not supported. However, 4 m/s is not a high speed, so I would be surprised if this is not supported.
