TMP421: Does TMP421 supports I2C bus clear protocol command.

Hi,

Does TMP421 device supports I2C bus Clear specification. i.e, I2C Master will toggle the SCL line a few times until the slave releases the SDA line.

Kindly confirm whether the TMP421 supports I2C bus clear protocol command.

The I2C bus Clear sequence is a feature of the I2C master and our device is a slave.

Hi Dilip,

If you're asking about NXP's UM10204 Section 3.1.16 Bus clear, this is just a fact that the bus works this way. TMP421 would be cleared by this action, if it were necessary to perform it. TMP421 also has an SMBus Timeout which will release SDA if held for more than 30ms.
