IWR6843: How to test the Boot Mode SPI

Hi,

According to the document Basic Bootloader Flow, we could boot the device without Flash. How do we test this function with the EVM boards? We have AOPEVM (ES1.0 and ES2.0), ICBOOST + (ISK and ODS) in hand. Do we have to remove some resistances on a board? Hope not.

Hi Tom,

We need to have the FLASH not detected by the device during boot-up. Checking with the H/W expert if this can be done on our EVM with some modification.

You will need to unsolder/ remove the SFLASH

Hi Charles,

What we are planning is to remove the R47 resistor off from AOPEVM (with ES1.0), as seen as in the following diagram:

My questions are:

1. Is it enough to remove R47 in order to test the SPI-boot mode?

2. Is there any easier way to achieve the goal without damaging the board?
