My customer asked OPT3101 whether the laser ranging can achieve a distance of 200mm and an accuracy of 0.1mm. Thanks.

Hi,

Please refer to our collateral listed here https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/815766 specifically the system design guide, datasheet, and system estimator tool. OPT3101 cannot hit 0.1mm. You will be able to get a few mm resolution best case. 200mm range is achievable. Our EVM reaches 6-10m and have third party modules reaching up to 12m.
