PGA300: TI Design file for PGA300 IC

Part Number: PGA300

sir,

can you please provide the simulation files for PGA300 IC for 4-20mA current output.

  • Hello,

The PSICE model, and several TINA spice models are available on the Design and Development page here: https://www.ti.com/product/PGA300#design-development

These include a 4-20mA current output reference design:

    Regards,

  • Dear sir,

    1) In this simulation files only DAC configuration is provided...

2)I want Full PGA300 IC in TINA simulation model and also

    3) Pls give clarity about 4-20mA current loop and how we can access the PGA300 IC for external input to produce exact 4-20mA output.

    4) Based on Input how we can get the 4-20mA output.....calculation required.

  • Hello,

A full spice model of the entire IC is not available. The analog front end and the DAC output stage are available for modeling in the links I provided, and these are the important analog interfaces that are needed to understand the PGA300's interaction with external circuitry. The internal digital section that performs the nonlinearity and temperature compensation is not available as a model.

I'm not sure what your third question is asking for. The datasheet provides a detailed explanation of the analog front end and the DAC output stage as well as an example application circuit for 4-20mA output.

The current loop output based on the input will depend on a number of things, including the PADC gain and the compensation coefficients that have been calculated. Please refer to the Temperature and Nonlinearity Compensation section of the datasheet for more information regarding this.

    Regards,

  • sir,

    1. PGA300 IC is it programmable operated ic for current output 4-20mA.

    2. we need current output 4-20mA hardware connections schematics if any available with calculations.

  • Hello,

Yes, the PGA300 can be used for 4-20mA current output. This is listed on the first page of the datasheet here: www.ti.com/.../pga300

Hardware connections, including a full output schematic are described in detail in the applications section of the datasheet as I mentioned in my previous reply.

There is even a completed reference design using the PGA300 for a 4-20mA current output application here: https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00788

Please refer to these documents for the answers to your questions.

    Regards,
