LDC1614: How to measure internal clock rate

Part Number: LDC1614

Hi Team,

My customer wants to measure internal clock rate somehow.

Are there any way to check the internal clock rate?

Regards,

Takashi Onawa

  • Hi Takashi,

Im not sure what you are referring to by internal clock rate. What you can refer your customer to is the internal clocking architecture of the IC which can be found in the following sectio nof the datasheet: 8.1.6 Clocking Architecture

The device provides digital dividers for the ƒCLK and the sensor inputs to adjust the effective frequency. For most systems, the maximum permitted reference frequency provides the best performance. The dividers provide flexibility in system design so that the full range of sensor frequencies can be supported with available fCLK. Each channel has a dedicated divider configuration.

  • Hi Apps-san,

I meant Internal Ref clock. They want to check the internal ref clock performance if possible. So they are looking for the way to be output the internal clock to outside of the device.

ƒINTCLK Internal Reference Clock Frequency range

    35(min) 43.4(typ) 55(max) MHz

  • Hi Takashi-san,

There is no setting for outputting the internal clock. The performance of the internal clock is characterized in the electrical characteristics section of the datasheet.
