Dear reader,

i am trying to use AWR1642 BOOST using mmwave Demo Visualizer, it's sruck at waiting for data and my board has a DS1 error. What am i doing wrong and how do i fix that?

Also is flashing each a new data is gathered required?

Hello Nilo,

I assume that you have followed the instructions provided in mmave SDK user guide document to flash->run->Visualize the mmw demo.

Make sure that you select the right COM port and baud rate.

And 'waiting for data' is not an error in visualizer, you need to send the command to device from the Visualizer to mmwave sensor by selecting required *.cfg file or send the visualizer based config over UART.

DS1 error you may get if no image is flashed to the device, try to flash the mmw demo binary file to the device using UniFlash tool.

Hello Jitendra,

Thank you, that was helpful my DS1 error is gone.

I did the following and yet still am not able to use Demo.(still says waiting for data)

What am i doing wrong?

HI again,

i used another version and i think the consule shows the parameters,e.g sends it to the hardware but i still get no plots.

also sometime when i push the reset botton DS3 glows.

Hello Nilo,

Did you follow all the instructions in the mmwave sdk user guide document? like, flashing the binary in SOP-5 mode and run in SOP-4 etc.

And in the visualizer you need to send the configuration commands after connecting to over UART.
