IWR6843ISK: Could I get some guide to work for "iWR6843ISK + mmWAVEICBOOST" ?

Hi,

Our customer bought iWR6843ISK, mmWAVEICBOOST, DCA1000EVM and have assembled "iWR6843ISK + mmWAVEICBOOST" like below Figure 1.

mmWAVE Studio was installed on the PC and linked to these EVM by micro USB.

We have setup COM port following "swru529c" document.

I followed the "swru529c" document and set the COM port and then test it.

We captured screen of mmWAVE Studio like Figure 3 and posted our error state "iWR6843ISK error.pdf".

We can't any test for more function of these EVM.

Could you please review our issue and guide to work these EVM?

The image you shared does not show the DCA1000EVM, can you please share the right picture?

We didn't connect DCA1000EVM and only assemble iWR6843ISK and mmWAVEICBOOST.

Hi,

if you want to do data capture you need the DCA1000EVM.

You can connect to mmwave studio without DCA1000EVM if raw data capture is not required, to do this you need to

Set SOP2:0 to DCA mode (011)
Configure S1 on MMWAVEICBOOST to standalone mode as shown in table 1 of users guide
Configure S1 on IWR6843ISK to MMWAVEICBOOST mode as shown in table 20 of users guide
plug in USB cables to both FTDI and UART port on the MMWAVEICBOOST and provide 5V, 3A power supply
Reset the board after power up.
Continue on mmwave studio

Are you connecting to the right COM port?
Can you share a picture of your board setup and device manager showing COM port?
Usiing uniflash can you format the SFLASH, set SOP to 011 and reset the board ?

Today, I confirmed that there was power issue of PMIC on the IWR6843ISK.

Also, I double checked this issue with another operating EVM w/ TI Korea.

I'm sorry to bother you. and really thanks for your kind support.
