IWR6843AOPEVM: ES1.0: DEMO_OUTPUT_DATA_port not connecting

Hello everyone,

I am facing exactly the same problem with the IWR6843AOPEVM as mentioned in this thread: https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/848949 - the CLI_CFG port is connected but the data port hangs with the message "waiting for data". There is a link to a solution/FAQ-page, but it did not work for me.

The links mentioned in the FAQ lead to demo files which don't seem to fit for the ES1.0 version. I flashed the 3.4 oob demo anyways (which worked), but the problem remains. Is the ES1.0 EVM more or less useless now, or is there a chance to get it working?

Can you please make sure you are using the images matching the device on your EVM

For IWR6843AOP ES2 support for demo and labs is provided via Industrial Toolbox 4.3.x as mentioned in following Sticky TI’s IWR6843AOP ES2.0 Now Available!

Our long term recommendation would be to switch to latest version of IWR6843AOP ES2.0 EVM for latest demo features.

If you are using IWR6843 ES1.0 you have you use earlier version of Industrial ToolBox. The toolbox main page explains how to select prior version:

Hi Timo,

If you have an ES1.0 AOP EVM, you will need to use the AOP Out of Box demo binary from the previous Industrial Toolbox version given below. Please refer to the following thread for a detailed discussion on this topic including a known issue on some AOP ES1.0 EVMs and the corresponding fix on top of SDK 3.2.0.6. The fixed binary and the code changes are already provided in the AOP OOB demo in Toolbox version 4.0.1

After following the above, make sure you press the SEND CONFIG button as mentioned in the thread.

Instruction to access previous toolbox versions are provided on the ReadMe page in the left menu in Industrial toobox. Here's the direct link.

You cannot use SDK 3.4 with ES1.0 as it is compatible only with ES2.0 devices.
