OPT3101: Reflectivity problem

Hi team,

The customer said that the distance measured by OPT3101 for objects with different reflectivity varies greatly. The objects tested by the customer are black objects (black foam, etc). Is there any way to calibrate them?

Hi Amy,

This is not a matter of calibration but signal received by the device. Using black material will reflect less light so if the amplitude value is very low then this is the reason for the error. Changing optics for more output power or narrower field of view can help with this.
