LDC1614: Regarding config register(0x1A) read back

Part Number: LDC1614

Hello team,

I have a question reported from my customer.
Regarding config register(0x1A) read back, the default value is 0x2801 as described on the datasheet.
After a while, 0x2800 is read back when he sent a read command.
The bit0 should be reserved and set to "1", is it possible to be changed to "0" as reported? Or the reserved bit can be overwritten?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Shinya,

No this register is reserved so there is no way writing to it will change its default value. Im unsure if it changes on its own, i would assume not. I plugged in an EVM and watched for a few minutes and never saw it change. What does you customer mean after awhile? Im going to let it run here and check back on it in an hour to see as well but like i mentioned this reserved bit cannot be overwritten by the customer.

  • Hi Shinya,

Over an hour in and the resister never changed states from the Default. Have your customer take a look at this again, this bit cannot be overwritten as it is reserved.

  • Thanks a lot, Julio.

OK, I'll double-check it again with my client and will let you know offline when I get a feedback.

    Regards,
