LDC1000EVM: can't set Registers.

Part Number: LDC1000EVM

I can't set Registers.
I set "Registers – Current Value" to any value, but after a few seconds it gets initialized.
Probably because of that, the Data Streaming screen is blank.

  • Hello,

For changing the registers, try changing the values by double clicking the bits you are interested in to the right of the current value. Let me know if this doesn't work for you.

When you say the Data Streaming screen is blank, do you mean there is no data showing in the graph after pressing start or is the graph axis not showing up for you?

    Best,

  • Hello

When Auto Read is Off, I can double click on the bit to change it.

If Auto Read is enabled, when I double click on a bit to change it, it immediately changes to the default value.

    About Data Streaming,

When I click on the Start button, it displays "Auto-read canceled."

Data does not appear in the graph.

    The XY axis is displayed.

Also, even when connected to the PC via USB, the message "Not connected" may appear on the screen from time to time.

    Best Regards.

  • Hello,

Thank you for the additional information. I will have access to the same EVM tomorrow and will be able to do more testing to help you figure this out but in the meantime, my initial thought is that the data streaming may be due to a problem with the registers but I cannot be certain yet. If you change all the required registers while the auto read is off, do they still stay at your desired values when you go back to using the auto read?

  • Hello

After setting auto read to off and updating registers, enable auto read.

I set auto read to off again, but registers are initialized.

The EVM connection periodically shows as no connected, and also immediately becomes connected.
The PC may be unreliable in recognizing the EVM.
    Is there a solution?

    Best Regards

  • Hello,

I was able to recreate your issue with the register page. I was able to circumnavigate this problem by not using the autoread function at all and making all changes through the config page of the GUI. Is this something you would be able to do? This also made sure that the data was properly streaming for me on the data page.

As for the PC connection issue, I am not able to recreate this but you could try reinstalling the driver for the EVM through the device manager on your computer.

    Hope this helps,
