Q1 in this case ,why can not find the target at 3.5m ? however ,it can find some obgect at 12.88m and 21.87m.

in my opinion , to find some object in front of the radar that we can choose the higher peak in frequency domain by using cfar ?

(if i have some wrong idea please tell me)

Q2 if the object at the large angle ,it will not accurate find its angle .

can you apply some manual about angle accuracy and the power loss

Hi,

It is possible that the object at 3.5m does not have sufficient reflection.

You should look at the range fft and check that there is a peak at range = 3.5m

range fft is also the same as 1D-FFT?

I get the peak at range = 3.5m obviously with four antennas.

So ,why the mmwavestudio can not find it?

Hello User,

The range FFT (or 1D-FFT) is calculated per frame...whereas the "Detection and Angle Estimation" plot averages the data from all the frames. So it is possible that the object at 3.5m didn't have sufficient reflection to be captured by majority of the frames.
