TMP112EVM: TMP112EVM: Fail to connect error

Hi Team,

I tried to make sure that GUI recognize device connect after splitting in two.

* 3.3 V and GND of U6 side are connected to DC 3.3 V Power supply

But, GUI said that I failed to connect to device.

Splitting TMP112EVM in two can cause damage? or do I need other configurations when I use GUI?

Thanks for posting! Did you also try connecting GND between the DUT (separated end) and the EVM?

Hi Josh,

Thank you for quick answer.

I connected GND of Sensor side to GND of DC Power supply.

Do I have to connect GND and 3.3 V hole of host MCU and USB side?

Maki-san -

Usually you would need common ground to ensure that the I2C lines are at same potential as VCC. That means you need to connect all the grounds together.

Hello Josh,

thank you for your reply.

I will check it in practice.

So, I have to connect GND(MCU and USB side) and GND(Temp. Sensor side) in the black square to the same GND?

And USB side voltage in yellow square is 3.3 V output? Do I have to use it?
