Hi:Everyone!

We bought two pcs of MMWCSA-DSP-EVM in April. We followed the MMWave Studio Cascade User guide to launch the boards. But one of them can’t work properly.

After getting the board the first time to add electricity test, found the problem.At the same time we check the welding process.

We measured the failure of the MMWSA-DSP-EVM using a desktop power supply with only 80 mah.In addition, leds do not work except for 12 volts.We tried many more times, but failed.

Hi user6146642,

We have identified a problem which may effect a small number of these boards. We think that the soft-start capacitor (C128) utilized on the 5V/3.3V regulator (U18) may need to be modified to work with all MMWCAS-RF-EVM loading conditions. The loading may be too light in some cases on the 5V rail.

I would recommend returning and replacing this unit.
