IWR6843: How to calibrate the range measurement in High Accuracy Demo

Hi Community member,

I test High Accuracy Demo using IWR1642BOOST.
When IWR1642 measured to ceiling, the result of measured value(from EVM to ceiling) and GUI monitor for Demo as below:

measured value : 193 cm
GUI monitor result : 2.0093 to 2.0097 ( about +7cm from measured value)

How calibrate the range measurement in High Accuracy Demo?
Please let us know procedure method.

Hi Cruijff

Is this +7 cm offset seeing when you are measuring other distances? Can you measure a distance of around 1.0 m or 0.5 m and observe the same offset, different offset, or not offset at all?

Also it would be helpful you could provide pictures of your test setup.

I also tested IWR6843 module. And the result and picture is below:

target object : wall (outdoor)

measured value : 35 cm

GUI monitor result : 0.4007 ( about +5cm from measured value)

We would like to know how to calibrate the error from 5cm to 10cm.

Then the offset will need to be implemented at visualizer level. Please see this thread for more information.
