IWR6843: Where is the code to save raw file in Studio CLI GUI?

Hi,

One Customer would like to capture the raw data from IWR6843ISK and process it by own software in real time.

Now they can use studio CLI to save raw file to PC.

I thought they may change the raw data to save to file to pass to their own process code in real time. But I can't find the code to save raw file in Studio CLI GUI. Would you pls kindly advise? Is it in RF_API.lib or RF_API.dll which is not open to customer by source code?

Which studio CLI you are talking about? Do you mean the studio CLI in platform toolbox?

Yes. It can be found at \mmwave_platform_toolbox_1_0_0\tools\studio_cli\gui.

HI, Chris:

In the user guide, it is mentioned that the ADC file name is defined by DCA_FILE_PREFIX

DCA_FILE_PREFIX=adc_data

You can change this parameter to change the file name.

Zigang,

Customer want to do capture+process RAW in real time, instead of process data on PC.

So we want to know the code to capture the RAW on PC. Would you pls help again?

Hello Chris,

Raw ADC data capture via DCA1000EVM is done by the dca1000*cli uitility which source code is available under mmwave Studio installation. Even this Studio CLI uses the same tool in background.

C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_07\mmWaveStudio\ReferenceCode\DCA1000

Customer can use this source code to implement their required tool to do the capture and real time processing.

The DCA1000 CLI utility is also available at this radar studio version C:\ti\mmwave_studio_02_01_01_00\mmWaveStudio\ReferenceCode\DCA1000
