Could you please clarify, do your coils change inductance during operation, or just the design will have to support different types of coils ranging from 15uHr to 2mHr?

Unfortunately an inductivity of the loop detectors is various. It depend from many factors and it can't guess in advance. A vehicle loop detector is a few turns of the cable in the road.

do you mean to say that the inductance of the loop is not known when a system is built?

Or are you trying to retrofit existing systems with LDC1000?

I mean to say that a loop traffic detector is a separate device as a part of traffic controller. When we produce a traffic detector for the traffic controller we don't know which an inductive loop will be connected to it. Therefore we as a producer of the loop detector want to create a new device with LDC1000 like a main element of the loop detector.

Yes, LDC1000 is capable of supporting this range of inductances, even with a fixed cap value! Choose it so that at min expected inductance (15uH) LC tank frequency = 5MHz. Then, at higher inductance values the frequency will go down, but stable oscillations will still be maintained.
