AWR1642: Dynamic change the TX channel during the frame idle time

Hello team,

Customer wants to dynamic change the TX channel during the frame idle time.

They use the same data path. But they need to use different antenna to transmit the signal depends on car's status.

How to dynamic change the TX channel during the frame idle time? Everything is same, except the TX channel.

Do we have a quick access to change the TX channel?

Hi Wesley,

This solution is specific to requested scenario.

Customer can use rlSetDynChirpCfg (SBID 0x010F) API with programMode=1 (immediate apply). In this API, required chirp Index can be set to use different Tx antenna, these set of chirp index should be used in the configured frame.

Note- This API (with programMode=1) must be called within idle frame time only.

mmwavelink test (in SDK) and mmwavelink_example (in mmwave DFP) provide the code reference for this API.

Please have a look there.

Thanks Jitendra,

int32_t MmwaveLink_rlSetDynChirpCfg(uint8_t sel) and int32_t MmwaveLink_rlSetDynChirpEn(void) from SDK driver works.

It can change the TX channel dynamic.
