TDC1000-C2000EVM: Run GUI Software with error message "The VI is not executable. ..." pop-up

Can you try installing the " LabVIEW 2010 SP1 Run-time engine components" directly from NI at: https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/downloads/software-products/download.labview-runtime.html#329458

I am actively working with NI to determine why the GUI dependency issue seems to occur at random on various users' PCs. I have confirmed that you do not require the full version of LabVIEW, so it is either due to a LabVIEW or Windows driver that is missing.

Thanks for your support! I try to download LabVIEW 2010 SP1 Run-time engine components (no matter 32-bit 178MB or 64 bit version 160MB) from NI and install it. However, we see the same error message popup.    

Finally, I remove them all. Run steps below in sequence but still not able to resolve this software GUI issue :(

1. Install LabVIEW 2010 SP1 32-bit first

2. Reboot Windows 10 PRO (OS build 19041.173) PC

3. Run TDC1000_C2000_EVM_Installer

4. Reboot Windows 10 PC

Are there any log files or version information I can provide to do further troubleshooting?

We may have narrowed down the error to be related to the Microsoft .NET Assembly version available on the PC. The GUI expects version 2.0.0.0 by default, which is an old version of the .NET Assembly that may no longer be included with most modern PCs today.

Can you try downloading and installing the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=1639?

If the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 install doesn't work, try installing .NET Framework 4.0 as a back-up: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/net40

This particular LabVIEW GUI seems to re-direct to .NET Assembly version 4.0 if 2.0 is not found.

When I run dotNetFx40_Full_setup.exe, it shows warning message as below.

Your installation will not occur. See below for reasons why.

1. Microsoft .NET Framework 4 is already a part of this operating system. You do not need to install the .NET Framework 4 redistributable. 

2. Same or higher version of .NET Framework 4 has already been installed on this computer.

I try to remove .NET Framework 4.8 but it looks like we could not downgrade .NET Framework version easily.

Did installing the .NET Framework 2.0 work or make any difference when running the TDC GUI?

Another user with the same GUI start-up error installed .NET Framework 2.0 on their Windows 10 PC, and then the GUI ran successfully.

.NET Framework now is alone with Windows update. I do not find an easy way to remove it and downgrade to .Net Framework 2.0.

Download the last GUI software from your link, I try to remove current version and all related NI packages.

After that, install GUI software again and we need to iladditionally install Labview runtime engine  2010 SP1.

Reboot my laptop, run GUI software but still see the same error message:(

Can I do manual check which file I might miss?
