Hi Team,

Customer want confirm regarding these device. Below is the inquiry.

"We are using AWR2243BOOST along with AWR2243 mmWave Studio to achieve some tasks. We find that the data captured by AWR2243 are pre-processed by a high pass filter, which cause that we cannot extract usable data on specific frequency bands (perhaps not the original ADC data from AWR2243), but according to the mmWave Studio of AWR2243, it described that by using this , we can collect the original ADC data from the software. By running experiments, it seems like there is a contradiction or description inaccuracy here. We want to make sure whether there is a high pass filter using mmWave Studio of AWR2243. Can we still use this to capture original ADC data?"

Hello Maynard,

Yes, mmWave Studio along with DCA1000 board can be used to capture raw ADC data out of the AWR device.

Our customer has a follow up question regarding this. Can you please help us further? Thank you.

Thank you very much for your reply! That will be great if we can capture raw ADC data. We have both DCA1000 and TSW1400 borad, but we do not know how to setup to remove the high pass filer which seems to fix on the mmWave studio tool bar. Would you please take a look at the figure in the following link.

Would you please let us know how to remove these two high-pass filter, or we can remove their impacts when using DCA1000 and TSW1400 broads.

Hello Cedrick,

Apologies for the delay. I was on leave for the first half of the week due to local holidays.

I'm not able to see the figure you attached in your previous reply due to security reasons. Can you send it over on TI drive or something?

Also, I'm not clearly able to understand your concern regarding the high pass filter. You can capture data using any of the capture cards you have (DCA1000 or TSW14000) by following the instructions in our training videos or user guides. HPF doesn't come into picture.

Hello Cedrick,

Thank You for the image!

This corresponds to high pass filter corner frequency. We have two high pass filters on the IF path and you can select the corner frequencies (3dB points) for each of them separately using this programmability in studio.

HPF corner frequencies influence the ADC start time.
