DRV8343-Q1: Reverse Battery Protection

Part Number: DRV8343-Q1

Hello,

The section "8.3.5.10 Reverse Supply Protection" in DRV8343-Q1's data sheet describes how to protect against a reverse battery connection. But, can a circuit below that uses only a diode work as protection?

The purpose of this connection is to reduce the number of parts. A voltage to the VDRAIN pin is taken from the VM to prevent a false VDS detection of the high side when a VBAT varies. Is there any concern about this protection circuit?

Best regards,
Shinichi Yokota
