Hello,

I have a question about working with UART. When the UART receiver section is disabled, the end of transmission flag does not seem to work. Could you please explain why this happens?

I am using the UART only for transmission.

What do you mean by "when UART receiver section is disabled"? Do you mean something like the picture bellow?

Hi Ali,
I tried that configuration, and it's working for me (both using another launchpad and a logic analyzer.) Can you try one of the examples in our SDK, set the TX-only configuration, and see if the same error happens? If it does, try changing the pins you use for TX and/or changing the module instance (UART0/1/2/3) to check if it's still happening. Also, to confirm, this error doesn't seem to happen when you set it to TX and RX configuration, correct?

Hi Diego

I think there is no end of transmission in tx only. It is not possible from UART perspective.
