Hi,

I have a question about TLV61070A and TPS61023.

Can these ICs fail if 5V is applied to the Vout pin when Vin=0V?

Looking at the absolute maximum rating, Vout (max) =7V, so I think it will not fail. Is this correct?

Hi Nishie，

the device won't fail with 5V applied with Vin powered, the high side FET is blocked.

Is it correct to understand that it does not break because the reverse flow prevention function is implemented by the switch on the FET in the internal circuit?

Is it correct to understand that it does not break even if Vin=0V and Vout= 5V?

Hi Nishie，

You are right , the device won't break when Vin is 0 and Vout is 5V. About your first question , when Vin is lower than Vout, the switch body diode is left and right cathode , to prohibit the direct short circuit of Vout and Vin.
