[FAQ] How to insert an image in your forum post.

Inserting an Image

  1. When creating a new Forum thread or replying to one, you can add an image using the E2E Rich Text Editor
  2. To add an image using the E2E Rich Text Editor, click on the "Insert/Edit Media" button (as shown below). Wherever your cursor is currently placed in the Rich Text Editor is where it will display (once uploaded)

  3. Next you will get a pop-up screen that will allow you to upload an image or link to an image already online

  4. Before uploading an image be sure (when possible) to specific its exact pixel width and height dimensions first in the available dimensions field. Note that the current maximum width an image will render as on E2E is roughly 800 pixels
  5. When uploading an image before clicking on the red button of "insert", make sure the progress/green bar goes fully to the right with the text "Uploaded" appearing (as shown below). If you don't see the green text that says "Uploaded" then it hasn't fully uploaded and won't render into your Forum post

  6. Repeat this process for any additional images that need to be added

Adding Image Tips and Best Practices

  • Remember that the maximum pixel width dimension your image will be displayed as on a row is roughly 800 pixels. If the image is too large in this regard rendering needed details too hard to see, you should alternatively attach it as a file instead (and not as an image)
  • Before uploading a new image, fill in the pixel width and height dimensions if you have them available
  • Before clicking on the red button for "insert" be sure you see the green text that says "Uploaded"
  • To right or left align an image you can use the left align or right align buttons with the image highlighted
