Application Download

Hello,

TI has been released application journals since some years ago. Some of these application journals contain useful topics and it worths to download and read them. For example, 1Q2003 is a good audio solutions guide.
Although it's possible to download these application journals from sites other than TI's site (e.g. take a look at https://www.scribd.com/document/222160506/TI-Audio-Guide, the issue is that there is no particular menu on www.ti.com to find these contents directly and easily.

Regards,
Hossein

  • Hello Hossein, thank you for your post.

Indeed I also like the application journals as they had many interesting articles.

    On TI.COM now you can find;

    Analog Design Journal

TI’s Analog Design Journal offers power and signal chain technical insight written by engineers for engineers. Published quarterly since 1999, these exclusive, carefully selected articles help novice and seasoned engineers sharpen their knowledge of emerging applications and analog circuits.

See the latest articles or search the library of 400+ articles to unlock solutions to tough design issues.

To receive email updates on new Analog Design Journal articles and other TI content related to your interests, subscribe to myTI and click the checkbox to allow TI email.

The Audio Guide you mention is a common result of unauthorized websites trolling TI.COM for content, and not removing or updating it when obsolete or revised.

TI uses the many different approaches to technical content.
    Blogs:

    Online Training:

    Applications and Designs:

    Live Training, Webcasts:

    Product Training:

Here is training filtered for Audio.

TI is constantly updating our delivery methods for technical content in order to stay up to date with current and future trends.
I hope these links will be a gateway for finding the material you want.

    We appreciate your feedback.

  • Hello EdWalker,

What a long message. I should scroll down for a minute to get here.
    Thank you so much.

But let me talk and ask a little bit more:

    1. Does TI provides only such an application journal in the field of analog electronics or is there any similar application journals related to other topics e.g. Audio applications, Interface ICs, C2000 MCUs and so on?
    2. Do you mind telling me where exactly should I click the checkbox to allow TI email me the new updates? In fact, I can't find the checkbox on that page?
    3. Although I was familiar with TI training series and admire TI for these online training videos, these contents are not exactly fit to what I am looking for. As I said at first, I'm now searching for sth like Anolge Application Journal for other matters, especially for Audio applications.
    4. As you see, there is a column under the name issue date, therefore I want to know how these issues appear such that the authors write an application journal in order to solve it. In a simple word, I want to know that how TI distinguishes it's the time to publish another Application Journal? For instance, if I and/or any body else, as an E2E members and one of TI's costumers have/has an issue, is this possible that TI provides a section of one of Application Journals for solving this issue?

    Regards,
    Hossein

  • Hello  EdWalker,

Did you see the new message I've sent in reply to your answer?
I'm waiting to speak for it.
    Thanks

  • Hello Hossein,

    1. Does TI provides only such an application journal in the field of analog electronics or is there any similar application journals related to other topics e.g. Audio applications, Interface ICs, C2000 MCUs and so on?
      >>>>
TI has been using BLOGS for some time now.
      https://e2e.ti.com/blogs_/
Here you can search and find the latest material from all TI product groups.

TI is divided into several groups.
The Analog teams decided to create the AAJ for Signal Chain and Power.
Processors and interface do not normally participate directly in the AAJ, however many Systems shown have a processor and need some kind of interface to make the design function.

There are some interface reports, here is one I found.
           JESD204B multi-device synchronization:

    2. Do you mind telling me where exactly should I click the checkbox to allow TI email me the new updates? In fact, I can't find the checkbox on that page?
    >>>>>>>
I don’t know. I have looked for it and do not find it either.
I am looking into this but have no answers yet.
TI is constantly updating our website and this apparently has been overlooked.

    3. Although I was familiar with TI training series and admire TI for these online training videos, these contents are not exactly fit to what I am looking for. As I said at first, I'm now searching for sth like Anolge Application Journal for other matters, especially for Audio applications.

You can search Blogs for Audio, 3 results appear.

There many different Blog areas you can select

In our Applications & Designs tab you can Quick Search by “audio”

    http://www.ti.com/reference-designs/index.html#search?keyword=audio
    161 results appear.

In the E2E Audio forum you can search and also look at the FAQ’s.
If you have specific audio questions you can ask them there.
Please provide a part number representative of the audio area of interest, Amps, DAC, etc.
In OPTIONS on the right you can subscribe to email notifications of forum activity.

    >>>>>>>
TI’s product groups have content goals.
Content being application information, application notes, design examples, Evaluation Modules, Blogs, Analog Apps Journal, Videos, Seminars, etc.
Each group is allowed to use various methods to meet the goals, it is their discretion.

AAJ is published quarterly so the Analog Teams (Power and Signal Chain) gather material and agree what should be published.

If a TI’er replying to an E2E thread knows or finds such material like AAJ, they can surely add that in the reply. Each product group has a set of application engineers answering Forum posts. They are very familiar with their group’s devices. Some devices are 10-20 years old, therefore information about them may be difficult to find.

  • Hi Ed Walker,

Let me appreciate you for this complete and in detail answer.
But unfortunately, this answer didn't solve the main issue. Neither the blog nor the audio forum contains the material I am looking for. In fact, I am sure there should be a page containing Audio Guide Journals because they have been published quarterly and have been nominated in a similar way just like Analog Application Journal e.g. 1Q 2012 which shows this journal was published in the 1st quarter of 2012. https://www.scribd.com/document/222160506/TI-Audio-Guide

In fact, I am looking for a page like http://www.ti.com/analog-circuit/aaj-article.html?keyMatch=application%20journal&tisearch=Search-EN-Everything#articles

  • Hello Hossein,

TI no longer publishes the Audio Guide.
These require manual update to the document and are out of date quickly.

TI has migrated to using Applications & Designs tab on TI.COM  so the material is automatically updated.
Selection Guides are not used any more.

Previous links to Audio Guide send you here:

You can subscribe to the Audio Forum and get updates on thread activity and FAQ posts.

In the Analog Applications Journal link you sent, a search on AUDIO yields many results.
I think this is your best option.

  • Greetings Ed Walker,
Thank you for your prompt reply.

    Good luck and Regards
