SN74LVC1G3157: question about "Δt/Δv Input transition rise or fall rate"

Part Number: SN74LVC1G3157
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC1G17-Q1

Dear team,

If rise/fall time of input signal are over datasheet "Δt/Δv Input transition rise or fall rate" spec.

Is that possible to damage device?

I found E2E post about Δt/Δv limit .

The Δt/Δv limit applies only to the digital control input S. If the S signal actually is too slow, you have to add a buffer with a Schmitt-trigger input (e.g., SN74LVC1G17-Q1) in front of it.

If S signal too slow, we need to add buffer.

What if S signal too fast? any risk about this?

Regards,

Ben
