TS5MP645: Switch use Nch FET

Part Number: TS5MP645

Hi All,

I have a question about the TS5MP645.
Does the internal switch use Nch FET?
In the case of Nch FET, if the voltage difference between the switch input voltage and the gate voltage is small, the on-resistance will increase.

I would like to see if the TS5MP645 has similar concerns.

Best Regards,
Ishiwata

  • Hi Ishiwata,

You are correct that the resistance will increase for this device as the input voltage approaches the gate voltage (NFET). However, the resistance is fairly flat over the normal operating range for standard MIPI applications of 1.3V.

In addition, we have an updated version of this device (TMUX646) that was recently released that would be recommended over this part.

    Thanks!

    Bryan
