HI team,
My customer wants to evaluate TMUX1309. And they concerns about the leakage current. If VDD=0V, and there is 5V signal on I/O pins, will that introduce any leakage current from powered I/O to VDD via internal circuit of IC?
Thanks.

Hi Hollis,
There are no ESD diodes connected to the power rail from inputs - so back powering (leakage through unpowered VDD pin) is not possible as there isn't a connection internally in the device. However this device isn't a traditional powered off protection part - it will keep the output (analog I/O output) at a low level - the one spec'd value we have is the output will be kept to 400mV to help mitigate possible downstream ESD forward connection.
So in short - there isn't going to be back-powering from analog I/O to VDD of an unpowered TMUX1309, but there will be some voltage on the output (for example if 5V is on S1 then voltage at D =/= 0V (for 3V it is <= 400mV at output) if that output voltage is enough to trigger forward conduction of downstream devices there could be some leakage - but it is going to be a case by case basis because many devices will not have ESD diodes trigger for that low of a voltage.
If you have any other questions please let me know!
Best,
Parker Dodson
