TMUX1136: What is the ACTUAL lower end of the analog signal range?

Part Number: TMUX1136
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS12A12511, , TS5A22362

So, what is the actual lower end of the analog signal range? 0.00mV? Some other value?

I could save PARTS if the limit extended below 0.00mV, even a little bit.

Thanks in advance, R.

  • Hey Robert,

The lower end of the analog signal range is 0V for the TMUX1136; This device only allows for single sided operation (0V-VDD). If you're looking for something that would allow for negative voltages, the TS12A12511 is a single channel SPDT device that will allow for negative signal pass through. This will require a negative rail, however.

If you're trying to do this with a single positive VDD rail, your best bet may be the TS5A22362 which will allow a VDD of 2.3-5.5V but will support I/O voltages from VDD-5.5 to VDD; Say for example you had a 3.3V rail, you could then support I/O signals from -2.2 to +3.3V. Caveat here would be that this wouldn't be a single channel 2:1 like the TMUX1136 or TS12A devices. It will be a 2 channel SPDT device.

    Hope this helps!
