TMUX1109: TMuX1109 TINA model & THD number

Part Number: TMUX1109
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS5A22362, TS5A23160, TMUX8109

Can a TINA model be provided? I'm looking for THD number for this mux to for use with audio frequencies. Thanks.

  • Hi Larry,

We do not have THD data or a PSPICE model for the TMUX1109 but the model is in our backlog. May I ask the use case for choosing this device?

With audio, we usually see 2 channel 2:1 configurations being used. I would recommend the TS5A22362 audio specific switch which does have THD data and a HSPICE model.

    Thanks,
    Tyler

  • Thanks Tyler. This will be for an audio tuner device that will have 6 ADC differential pairs to check with a mux'd base band source and will also have 7 DAC single ended outputs (6 of which are pairs) to check with a digitizer. I had put the TS5A23160 in my schematic a d was considering the TMIX1109 to reduce  board space.. I found the following app note SBAA315A which shows the mux in question in an application. The TMUX1109 would reduce the component count by an considerable amount.

  • Hi Larry,

I appreciate the clarification on the use case. Sounds like the TMUX1109 is a good option but we also have a newly released device, the TMUX8109, that may be an alternative. It has a model available and a very flat RON curve which will help with THD. If you have a 10V or greater power supply in your application, this would be a good option as well.

    Thanks,
    Tyler
