TS3DS10224: TS3DS10224 usage scenario

Part Number: TS3DS10224

Hi team,

My customer is evaluating our TS3DS10224.

  1. About the TS3DS10224

Please help to check the truth table about the red color.

If INB is NC, are OUTA0 and OUTB1 connected to each other?

        2.  For customer's usage scenario

Y<=>Z goes through 4 sets of MUX, which affects the USB 2.0 signal.

Because of this problem, it is not recommended to use TI TS3DS10224 directly, it is recommended to use Re-driver IC in both front-end and back-end.

And it should be considered that XY, XZ only pass through 2 sets of MUX, but the signal will also be regarded as the problem of four MUX amplification signals. Please kindly let me know your comment of signal integrity with Y<=>Z.

  • Hi Feng,

    1. You are correct, as long as the INB pins are floating you can connect OUTA0 and OUTB1

    2. From the picture, the signal paths needed are X<->Y, X<->Z, and Y<->Z correct? We don't have data on the Y<-> path with regards to signal integrity but it will likely be less and the bandwidth will be lower. What voltage/frequency are the signals being sent?

We might be able to come up with a different solution using multiplexers instead of a crosspoint as well.

    Thanks,
    Tyler
