CD4052B: Supply Voltage

Part Number: CD4052B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CD74HC4052

Hi Team,

Please tell us the maximum value and minimum value of supply voltage VDD – VEE.

Does it work normally under VDD = + 2.5 V, VEE = - 2.5 V?

Best Regards,

Tom Liu

  • Hey Tom,

The CD4052B will work at +/-2.5V supply. You can find some of the RON curves in figure 1 and figure 3 for the VDD-VEE = 5V case. You'll notice that the VIN goes from -2.5 to +2.5V which is the supply in question.

    Thanks!
    Rami

  • Hey Tom,

Giving this another look and another recommendation here would also be to use the CD74HC4052. Performance at the lower voltages will be better with the HC/HCT families while the CD405xB family will support a little higher voltage. These devices will both be P2P solution so switching to the CD74HC4052 will just be a simple drop in switch!

    Thanks,
    Rami
