TMUX121: Cross-talk Frequency Response

The current datasheet does not provide frequency response graphs for the cross-talk of this part. Can you please provide some plots with typical performance?

Hello Todd,

Unfortunately we don't have a cross-talk graph for this device, but can you please elaborate on the use case and why the cross-talk is a concern? I might be able to provide some help if I had more information.

Hi Nir,

Thank-you for your response. We are considering this part for a clock distribution system in which we want to be able to select between two different source frequencies. (i.e. 100MHz and 120MHz) We want to minimize the amount of the unused clock frequency that couples onto the used clock frequency. Low additive phase jitter is an important criteria in this application as well.

Hi Nir,

Thank-you for your suggestions. I should have been a little bit clearer with my application description. Off-isolation is just as critical as cross-talk. In the region of 100MHz to 120MHz the OFF-ISOLATION of TMUX1574 is ~30dB and the TMUX154E does a little better at in the frequency range of 100MHz-128MHz. The TMUX154E does a little better at ~40dB.

Prior to this dicussion, I hand been looking at the TMUX1119DCKR, which only has ~26dB OFF-ISOLATION. So, the TMUX154E certainly makes an improvement over the TMUX1119 in that regard. The only down-side of the TMUX154E is that it has higher insertion loss at 100MHz to 120MHz due to its increased series RDon and Con. I can probably tolerate the increased loss for the 14dB improvment on OFF-ISOLATION.
