MUX36S08: MUX36S08IPW Mux IC failed, Resistance change observed across Pin 8 and Gnd Pin

I have attached the schematic draft for our system.

As I stated above.

Condition 1: 

The resistance across the Pin 8 and GND was showing 1.8k.

Condition 2:

The Resistance across the Pin 5 and GND is showing 2.6K

Only those 2 pins were in least resistance and rest of the Pins W.R.F to Gnd its of high resistance in terms of Mega Ohms.

I assume that this particular ports alone got damaged.

Again, after this we faced the same issue as the resistance got decreased across pin 4 and gnd, this is the third IC which we replaced.

After the replacement it will be working well for 3 to 4 days then it will fail.

Kindly suggest a solution for this issue.

FYI: The Resistance value measured all are in unit switched off condition.

Looks like there is some damage happening to the negative esd cells on the drain and the S2 pin. You mention this has happened on different inputs for different devices (Pin 5 for the first instance and pin 4 for the second). Both are connected to a pressure sensor though so I'm inclined to believe that the issue is coming from the signals being produced by the sensor. The only way for these to be damaged, when left untouched for days, would be some sort of over or under shoot conditions that may cause some excess current to be passed through those forward biased ESD cell diodes and damage them. 
I know it's hard ask here as it seems to happen every 3 or 4 days but are there any events that occur that coincide with the damage. Ideally monitoring the inputs of the temp sense would help get a clearer story of when the damage occurs.

Thanks for your feedback.

we are continuously monitoring the system and still unit is under test.

The system will be functioning properly all of sudden it shoots the values abnormal, if we check the resistance at this stage the IC might have gone bad this is what we observed in working condition.

Any suggestions to avoid this damage would be highly appreciated.
