TS3L501E: PI3L2500ZHEX

So TI doesn't have a advertised 2:1 8 channel mux like the PI3L2500ZHEX.

When you say 2.5G do you mean 2.5Gbps or 2.5GHz?

Depending on your answer a competitive solution to the diodes part would to use 2 TMUX574 devices.

It has the per lane bandwidth to support the Ethernet protocols called out on the datasheet
