TMUX6212: DESIGN REVIEW

Part Number: TMUX6212
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUX1101

Tool/software:

Dear Sir,

I have used TI manufactured 2 TMUX6212 analog switch IC to transfer my power signals from source to drain. Through first IC, I am connecting the voltage signals from my source to drain is 22 v, 19 v, 15 v, and 11 volts which will be controlled by GPIO of my STM controller. Similarly, with the other switch, I am transferring 22v & 7v from souce to drain.  Therefore, in both cases I have provided 28V INPUT power to VDD pin of my analog switch as suggested in datasheet that power input should be greater than analog signal range. Sir,I have also attached the image of my design please review it and let me know if all proper or some flaws are present in it or some changes which I need to do so my design works properly.

Waiting for your reply,

Thanks & Regards,
Shubham

  • Hello Shubham,

Regarding your design with the TMUX6212 devices, everything looks correct and you are using the devices properly.

You are correct that the supply voltage(VDD) needs to be higher than the signal being passed from source to drain.

In addition your schematic for TMUX1101 also looks correct and should operate properly.

However please let me know if you need any further assistance

    Regards, Kameron
