TMUX4053: TMUX4053 Pinout

Part Number: TMUX4053
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUX4051, , SN74LV4053A

Tool/software:

Hello,

I would like to use the TMUX4053 as a replacement for the 74HCT4053BQ multiplexer because of its 1,8 V compatible logic. However, I can not find the pinout in the datasheet. It only shows the pinout of the TMUX4051. Where can I find the TMUX4053's pinout? And could the thermal pad also be soldered to the postivie supply voltage like for the 74HCT4053BQ?

Best regards

  • This is an error in the datasheet.

All xxx4053 devices have the same pinout; the only question is whether pins 7/8 (VSS/GND) are separate. For the QFN package, see the SN74LV4053A datasheet.

For TI devices, the thermal pad is usually connected to the most negative voltage (here, VSS). You must not connect it to VDD.

  • Thanks for your reply. I thought it could only be an error in the datasheet. Hoewever, regarding the thermal pad the datasheet says: The thermal pad is not connected internally. It is recommended that the pad be left floating or tied to GND.That's why I thought it might be connected to Vdd also. Because I already have a design with the 74HCT4053BQ and could replace it with the TMUX4053BQBR.

  • Hello Sven,

As Clemens mentioned there is an error in the datasheet that we are working on fixing it.

You can see the same pinout in our other 4053 devices like the one Clemens mentioned.

    I apologize for the inconvenience.

    Thanks,

    Nir
