Tool/software:
Hello. Given the +/-12V max nature of RS485, but the normal signal is 0-5V, can the TMUX4053 be used to segment RS485 and add terminating resistor in second pole?

Hi Derek,
I agree with clemens and if you could answer his questions that would help.
In addition are you planning to supply the TMUX4053 with +/-12V supplies.
If you use +/-12V supplies you can pass signals within +/-12V through this device.
Please let me know what you think and myself and clemens are happy to help.

Kameron
The on-resistance of the TMUX405x is rather high. If you want to switch RS-485 signals with supplies as large as ±12 V, then the only choice is the TMUX6201/2.
Hello Derek,
I agree with Clemens and if you want to use multiple 1:1 switches to create a 2:1 3channel device that is possible by tying the drain pins together
Please let us know if this is something you would be interested in.
