I would like to ask for clarification on the following note taken from the TMUX405x datasheet[1]. It is mentioned on page 7 (Absolute Maximum Ratings).
(3) To avoid drawing excess current from VDD, or into VSS, the voltage drop across the bidirectional switch path (ΔVswitch) must not exceed
1.2V (600mV for high temperature).
What does this mean and how does TI specify ΔVswitch? Is this related to the maximum current through the switch? I checked the data sheet, but could not find any other references for ΔVswitch.
