Part Number: TMUX9616
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUX9832,
Tool/software:
I need to sequentially test a number of devices by connecting them one at a time to my measurement equipment (a source measure unit). There will be a maximum of 24 devices within one batch of measurements and each device requires only one signal connection, so I was thinking to use a 32:1, 24:1 or two 16:1 multiplexers to select the device under test (DUT). Each DUT is equivalent to a resistive load generally >1MOhm, drawing <1mA, but I need to sweep voltages in the ±80V range to test each DUT. At the same time I'd like to power and control the multiplexer with a 5V or 3.3V controller only. Are there any multiplexers with these characteristics?
The upcoming TMUX9832 would fit the bill perfectly, if it wasn't for the integrated bleed resistors likely in the 10kOhm range that would short my load. Another option I found is the TMUX9616, but I would need to supply >80V to operate it. Do you have any product or solution suggestions? If I were to use the TMUX9616, is there a simple AC/DC converter IC that would covert mains 230VAC into e.g. ±100VDC? How are devices like the TMUX9616 generally powered in compact applications?
