SN74LVC2G66: LEAKAGE CURRENT

Part Number: SN74LVC2G66

Tool/software:

hi team:

We are using SN74LVC2G66QDCURQ1 as analog switch as following, we found as long as 1A and 2A is pulled up to 1.8V, even if there is no voltage supply on VCC or control pin 1C/2C, there is still leakage current path from 1A/2A to 1B/2B. Resulting a voltage level of 0.7V on 1B/2B side.

My question is what‘s the leakage path from A to B if there is no voltage supply on VCC AND 1C/2C?

And what we can do to isolate INPUT AND OUPUT?

  • The absolute maximum ratings forbid applying a voltage higher than VCC to the I/O pins. If the current flowing from the I/O pin into VCC is not limited, this can damage the device.

You should keep the switch powered as long as signals can be present. If this is not possible, use a switch with the powered-off protection feature like the TS5A32166.
