TMUX1308A: TMUX1308AQPWRQ1

Part Number: TMUX1308A

Tool/software:

Hello,

Can you please help me confirm / determine  the Bit Resolution of the Part number: TMUX1308AQPWRQ1

Based from the datasheet: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tmux1308a-q1.pdf?ts=1732124255175&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com%252Fproduct%252FTMUX1308A-Q1%252Fpart-details%252FTMUX1308AQPWRQ1   based from the datasheet, is it correct to say 12 Bits as the Bit Resolution?

Thanks in advance

Allen De Guzman

  • Hi Allen !,

What spec are you looking at in the datasheet for the 12 bit resolution assumption, maybe i can help there?

TI multiplexers like the TMUX1308A  are passive devices that simply  pass analog and digital signals from source to drain or drain to source.

Bit resolution is not really applicable to multiplexers as they only pass whatever signal is placed on the io pins

These videos here do a good job of explaining this topic.

In addition  if system accuracy is a concern of yours with multiplexers checkout this video about leakage current in multiplexers and this app note about designing high accuracy systems using multiplexers
