TMUX4052: crosstalk when use 4ch

Part Number: TMUX4052

Tool/software:

Hi Expert,

My customer is using TMUX4052 to measure 4ch current signals. But they find that when four input channels all have signals and the selected output channel will have a crosstalk. And when there is only one input channel has signals, issue disappears.

Customer only use one 4:1 channel. You can see the schematic:

1. When there are no signals in other three channels, you can see the wave, there is no obvious crosstalk.

Left picture is input signal and right is output.

2. When all the 4ch have signals and you can see there is some crosstalks.

In my opinion, there is a possible that output channel is NC, which should be connected with GND. Is it the key reason of crosstalk?

  • Hi Gary,

For crosstalk to show up on the selected channel when there is signal on the unselected channels but not when there is not signal makes sense. What do the other signals look like? Can you even take a scope shot of all 4 signals at one?
And yes if you wanted to help minimize the crosstalk you could pull down the other channels when not used.

    Thanks,
    Rami
