Tool/software:

The banner title of the datasheet says this is a SPST BUT the Description says its a SPDT  (DOUBLE throw, rather than SINGLE throw.  The rest of the datasheet docuements are consistent with SPST.

WHich is correct, and are there any differences between TS5A3166 and TS5A3167 besides bandwidth and isolation?  I am looking for a SPST with the lowest possible OFF capacitance (in my application, it is a signal switch, not a power switch, so on-resitance is likely to be completely irrelevant.

    Hi Ken,

    TS5A3167 is a SPST switch. The difference between the two is that TS5A3166 is active high and TS5A3167 is active low. If you need lower than 18pF COFF, TS5A4594/5 may be a better fit, with 6.5 pF.

    Thanks much.  And thanks for the suggestion - I just looked closely at the TS5A4594/5  

    Technically, the device is speced for 2-5V supply and my present design is set up for a 1.8V supply - but having been in MixedSignal CMOS design in my previous life, I know that the only problem with running at slightly lower voltages is that on-resistance will go up somewhat. Since the 8 ohm typical spec is litterally 100x better than I need in my application, I may take the chance! (and if I don't, I will definitely consider it for a future design spin when I have a higher supply available.)

    I understand it would be a very low priority, but the Description in the 3167 should be corrected to say SPST, and it would also be helpul to have the words 'Active Low" somewhere.

    Working on getting the description corrected! Thanks for pointing the typo out Slight smile  Active low vs high is denoted on the product page rather than the datasheet.
