The actual inrush current of the "TS5A3166QDCKRQ1" on our circuit board is 2.32 A peak. Please see the waveform in the link below.
The total inrush power is approximately 16.6 µW. Could you please confirm if this IC can withstand this level of inrush current?
We understand the root cause, but we are unable to modify the circuit at this stage. Currently, we have not encountered any issues with this IC in our product over the past three years.
Therefore, we believe the inrush power is small and the IC can withstand it. However, we need TI’s confirmation to be sure.
