MUX36D08: ATE for absolute MAX

Part Number: MUX36D08
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MUX36S08

Tool/software:

Dear Technical Support Teams,

I have 3 questions.

Q1. Regarding the Voltage Rating of MUX36D08
The datasheet specifies an absolute maximum rating of 40V and a recommended operating voltage of 36V.

During the final inspection process (ATE), up to what voltage is applied for testing?

Are all units tested up to the absolute maximum rating(40V), or only up to the recommended operating range(36V)?

(Are all units tested at the recommended voltage(36V), while only some samples picked up passed recommented  operating  volrage is tested at the absolute maximum rating(40V)?)

Q2. Difference between MUX36S08 and MUX36D08
I use both MUX36S08  and MUX36D08 are currently used on the board, connected to the same power supply and circuit.
However, MUX36D08 occasionally damaged.
Is there a difference between MUX36S08 and MUX36D08?
Based on the datasheet, they appear to be the same chip(die).

Q3. Switch Behavior During Power ON/OFF for MUX36D08

What state does the switch enter during the Tr/Tf transition period of the power supply?

I believe this is particularly related to the control circuit such as EN.
Could you provide information on whether the state is undefined within a range up to xxxV, and the logic becomes fixed and the switch state is determined once it exceeds xxxV?

Best Regards,

ttd

  • Hello ttd,

All of our testing are within recommended specifications.

What do you mean by damaged? What do you exactly observe on the MUX36D08?

These are the logic ranges, from 0.81V to 1.99V is undefined.

    Thanks,

    Nir
