Tool/software:
As per the title, we currently use the On Semi NS3L500 to switch a gigabit ethernet between an internal connector and a debug connector. This is now obsolete and it looks like both the TS3L500 and the TS3L500AE are potential drop in alternatives.
What part is closer to the On Semi part?
What is the difference between the two TI parts, is it just that the AE part includes ESD protection and the former doesn't?
When would you chose one over the other?
