Hi Team!
I had a question regarding the TS3USB3200.
Has this been tested to carry HDMI TMDS signals?
Thanks,
Ben

Hello Ben,
No it has not but should be able to pass HDMI no problem. However it is only one differential switch and HDMI requires three data pairs so I don't think it would be very suitable for an HDMI application.
For HDMI applications we are currently evaluating a new part TS3DV642 which features 12 channels(4 differential + 4 sideband) for passing all HDMI signals. It has already been tested for HDMI v1.4 3.4 Gbps.

Hi Andrew,
Thank you for the prompt response!
I am trying to use this to pass MHL and HDMI. Is there a device that can process both of these?
Also, what is the propagation delay in the USB switch? It looks like the typical is 0.1 ns.
Thanks,
Ben
Hello Ben,
Can you provide an application diagram of what you are trying to accomplish? I believe the DV642 would suit your needs perfectly but want to confirm with an application diagram.
Yes the TS3USB3200 propagation delay is 0.1 ns.

Andrew
