Hello TI,

My customer is using a new TI part (TS3A44159RGTR) and we have a question about the exposed pad connection. I can’t find anywhere on the datasheet that mentions it but probably just missed it. Is it a no connect or should it be grounded?

hi Dan ,

This is the thermal pad for the QFN package which needs to be soldered to the PCB for heat dissipation purposes . It is described on page 31-32 on the datasheet for more information .

Here is some additional information, the thermal pad is not electrically connected to ground or any other pin inside the IC.
